About the Jewish Federation of Cape Cod
The Federation Mission
The Jewish Federation of Cape Cod’s essential mission is to enhance the quality of Jewish life nationally, in Israel, around the world and most importantly, here on Cape Cod.
To achieve this worthy objective, the
Federation promotes its commitment to develop and serve our Jewish youth and
families. These are Judaism’s most important resources.
Our Federation’s mission is to engender intergenerational interaction and a sense of “Tikkun Olam – a desire to heal the world”. As well it is our responsibility to join the young Jewish Cape Cod community to the older Jewish community for continuity, connectedness, and the honing of a lifelong Jewish purpose of contribution, and legacy here on Cape Cod and abroad.
As the communal instrument for recruiting, developing and deploying Jewish leadership, the Federation helps to facilitate the participation in the community of all its components, including philanthropy, leadership, educational services, and social service referral. To this end, the Federation also helps to connect Jewish youth with their faith and community through Jewish summer camp and programmed trips to Israel.
With the cooperative and synergistic efforts of the young, old, and
new members of the Jewish community, the Cape Cod synagogues, and other
philanthropic organizations, the communal fabric is strengthened and the
continuity and vibrancy of Jewish life is assured now and into the
future for generations to come.
